In Canada a very high percentage of public school children fail to achieve basic levels of proficiency in learning, it would be demonstrated by examining students in the different curriculum subjects. Parents know that there is a lack of quality education within public schools, which bifurcates astounding consequences and represents a crisis in learning. Elementary students enter secondary schools without having attained levels of basic skills and knowledge, such as mathematics, reading and writing, resulting in the fact that in grades 9 and 10, young people drop out of school because of the unworthy level of education received in elementary public schools. We must raise our voice as a protest and repudiation of the ethical trance that the government has with low- and middle-income parents, to provide basic education students with adequate education. In addition we must blame the media for hiding and not revealing the failures that exist in this country in public primary education, and in some instances at the secondary level.
