I Stand Up Against CFS Because... (The Truth About Child & Family Services) 11,000 children in care in Manitoba. 90% aboriginal. 11.1% of Winnipeg's population is aboriginal.
There are quotas on the amount of kids taken. CFS workers make more money if the child is mentally ill and medicated.
Children are put in hotels where they're neglected and put in dangerous situations. They're often put in abusive foster homes.
NDP government seizes one baby a day in the province.
There is a gag on the media with actual laws prohibitting parents' stories from being told. Parents are threatened that if they speak or protest, they'll never see their children again. These are just some of the many reasons we stand up against CFS.
On November 15th, 2015, many passionate Winnipeggers came together to speak out against the corrupt practices of CFS and do this video for World Alternative Media.
People who chose to speak in this report include:
Don Woodstock, Kathy Harris, Bubba B the MC, Nadine Moostoos (Hope Antoine Buffalo), Wendy Bowcott, Lisa Tellier, John Doull and Marty Max. The video was directed by Josh Sigurdson.
With so many backgrounds among so many great people, the message was clear, that we will not be taking this corrupt, greedy child abuse from CFS any longer and CFS, You're Fired!

After our video "Somali Children Stolen By Government For Parents' Broken English" went viral, so many more eyes and ears are now on this important issue we've spent years fighting.

Come on out on Friday, November 20th at 1pm at the Manitoba Legislative Building. Hundreds are set to be out protesting CFS in support of the Somali family and the thousands of other parents affected by the abusive CFS system. It will be International Children's day and we'll be doing the rally in cooperation with Don Woodstock who hosts Children's Day every year.
